Description
Don't worry...it's alive. Found this little one on the ground today. I estimate it's about 4 days old. I returned it to it's nest. Later the same day I found another one on the ground. I don't think it was the same one as it was smaller. Just hope they stay there. If I hadn't found it, the dogs would have eaten it.
Poor thing is so young it's skin is still transparent and you can see through it to its ribs...was kind of neat. Hope it's ok.

I had something similar happen about a month ago, there was a bad storm one night and it knocked the nest of a pair robins off of the side of my parents house... My mom found the 3 hatchlings on the ground barely alive and one injured. My dad came to get me to help him warm up the chicks by hand, they felt so cold.
Once they warmed up and livened up a bit, I fed them some bits of worms using Medical Clamps from a First Aid Kit to act as a type of beak in order force the worm down the throat. We put the nest back with the babies in it, and the mother managed to find it. Unfortunately, the runt died a week later...
Maybe you've found the runt of the nest, will you chose to take care of it?
